The role

Caregiver · CNA · Home Health Aide

You'll work closely with clients, their families, and your supervisor to make sure each person is getting exactly the care their plan calls for — nothing generic, nothing rushed.

  • Companionship and one-on-one attention
  • Hands-on personal care support
  • Meals, light housekeeping, and errands
  • Keeping families informed every step of the way
What you'll do

Job responsibilities

Every visit is different, but the core of the work looks like this.

Daily care

  • Assistance with ADLs — feeding, dressing, bathing, grooming, toileting/incontinence, transfers and repositioning, ambulation, and exercises.
  • Meal planning, preparation, and cleanup, plus monitoring fluid intake, dietary restrictions, and allergies.
  • Medication reminders, help getting to doctor's appointments, and monitoring vitals.
  • Wellbeing checks, watching for changes in physical or mental status, and reporting them to your supervisor right away.

Household & connection

  • Light housekeeping including laundry, errands, appointments, organizing, pet and plant care, and expense tracking.
  • Engaging clients in activities and hobbies, both inside and outside the home.
  • Working closely with clients, families, and your supervisor to follow each client's specific care plan.
  • Completing required documentation and attending mandatory in-service training at least twice a year.

Education: High school diploma or GED.
Experience: 1 year in a comparable human service role preferred. Reliable, energetic, self-motivated, and well-organized.

On the job, physically

  • Comfortable moving between sitting, bending, kneeling, and standing multiple times a day.
  • Able to push and pull objects up to 50 pounds.
  • Able to climb up to 3 flights of stairs at a time, depending on the client's home.
  • Able to lift up to 35 pounds.

Based in Avon, with caregivers placed throughout the surrounding region.
