Caregiver Job Description
Job Responsibilities
*Works closely with the client, client’s families, and Supervisor to guarantee that client is receiving the best available care and adhering to any specific plan in place.
*ADL’s Assistance to include but is not limited to: feeding, dressing, bathing, grooming, toileting/incontinence, transfers/repositioning, ambulation, exercises.
*Light housekeeping including laundry, errands/appointments, organizing, pet and plant care, expense tracking.
*Meal planning, preparation, cleanup, monitoring and encouraging fluid intake, monitoring dietary restrictions and allergies.
*Medication reminders, doctor’s appointments, monitoring vitals.
*Monitoring cognitive status, interacting with and engaging clients in activities/hobbies. (both inside and outside the home)
*Completes all required documentation in accordance with agency/programmatic policies and procedures, professional standards, and external requirements of all relevant regulatory, licensing, or accrediting bodies.
*Required to attend mandatory in-service training a minimum of twice per year
*Utilize universal precautions as necessary.
*Conducts wellbeing checks on seniors and reports any changes in seniors’ physical or mental status to the Supervisor immediately.
*Kneeling and move from sitting, bending, kneeling, or standing multiple times a day.
*Push and pull objects up to 50 pounds.
*Climb up and down up to 3 flights of stairs at a time (depending on the client’s home).
*Lift up to 35 pounds.

Other Requirements:
*Background check, including any program-specific requirements.
*3 references (2 professional references, 1 personal reference).
*Physical Examination.
*Drug testing.
*TB testing.
*COVID-19 testing.
*Valid Driver’s License.
*Reliable Transportation.
*Valid Auto Insurance.
Relevant Education:
High School Diploma/ GED
Relevant Experience:
Preferred: 1 year in a comparable human service capacity
Reliable, energetic, self-motivated, and well-organized
